In one of the most elaborate teasing campaigns ever, Ford announced the “Mustang Countdown” online episodes that review the muscle car’s 50-year history, and also serve as a teaser for the upcoming new model.
It starts with behind-the-scenes looks at the Mustang 1 concept car, where it all began, and continues to the present day, covering milestones like the the build of the 1 millionth Mustang at Flat Rock Assembly Plant, famous restomods and racing events, and even some fun stuff like the Mustang RC chase viral video.
An all-new Mustang is currently under development with more “global” appeal. So nobody knows what the end result will be like until it comes out in 2015. That is why it is important to cherish the glorious history of the car, because there is a slight possibility that Ford gets it wrong with the new model. So let’s remind ourselves how the Mustang achieved its legendary position as an American icon.
