The 40-year-old singer – who stars in the episode as the lusted after Spanish teacher – gets straight into action showing his Latin roots as soon as he enters the room.
Martin and the cast, including Naya Rivera and Chris Colfer, preview the singer’s appearance on the show in this new behind-the-scenes video Fox just released. Spoiler alert: Martin speaks Spanish in it.
So how will we meet Martin’s character, Spanish teacher David Martinez, the man performing LMFAO’s hit “Sexy and I Know It”?!
In a totally awesome way, says the man himself: “This is how I met the glee club: ‘Hi, nice to meet you. I’m sexy and I know it and let’s dance!'” Martin says with a laugh.
Hey, it works for us! “It’s one of my favorite moments in my career,” Martin reveals of performing the number with the Glee kids. Aw!
“Ricky Martin has what we like to call ‘duende,'” Rivera teases. “You’ll learn the meaning of that in this episode.” If duende means the ability to shake your hips like it’s nobody’s business, then yes, Martin definitely has that!
