Lorinser turned up at the Essen Motor Show with a fantastic styling package for the 2013 Mercedes SL. Actually, it’s not just a styling kit, as the SL500′s engine receives an upgrade too, making the SL63 utterly pointless.

The German tuner clearly was not happy with the way the new SL looked, so they basically facelifted it with this kit consisting of a sport front grille, revised front bumper, extended wheelarches, new side skirts, and a modified rear bumper with a diffuser, extra air vents, and new blacked-out tailpipes. Complementing the body kit is a set of 20-inch RSK wheels with 255/30R20 front and 295/25R20 rear tires. They come with a lowering module for the car’s ABC system to completely fill up the fenders.

As for the performance, the car’s 4.7 liter twin-turbo V8 is boosted from 435 hp to 530 hp with 800 Nm of torque. Lorinser has removed the top speed limited as well, so this SL is now capable of an astonishing 320 km/h.
