U.S. President Barack Obama, the First Lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha took part in the Christmas in Washington concert at the National Building Museum which was taped on December 9, 2012 in Washington, D.C.
Performing in this special fund-raising concert were singer Diana Ross, Demi Lovato, Megan Hilty from NBC series Smash, South Korean rapper and Internet sensation Park Jae-sang, also known as Psy and famous for his song Gangnam Style (donning a glittery red jumper and bright red trousers), American Idol winner and performer Scotty McCreery, as well as choir singers from Washington DC.
For the concert, President Obama was dressed in a black suit, accessorized with a Christmassy red necktie, while the First Lady wore a Champaign colored sleeveless dress. Daughter Malia wore a pretty white dress, teamed with a grey cardigan, while younger sister Sasha looked delightful in a jade dress, topped with a cream cardigan.
Hosted by comedian and talk show host Conan O’Brien, the Christmas in Washington concert benefits the National Children’s Medical Center. One of the cutest moments was when the Obamas got to meet children who were dressed up as little elves, who no doubt would make the cutest White House Christmas card!
Barack Obama also said that the celebration was “chance to get in the Christmas spirit, spread some joy and sing along with artists who have much better voices than we do.”
