Following in the footsteps of Demi Moore, Imogen Thomas posted a picture of her blossoming baby bump on her Twitter page on Monday for the world to see. Accompanying the image, the mother-to-be wrote, “7 months 2day…can’t wait to meet my baby!”
The self-shot, which captures a perfect-looking baby bump of the seven months pregnant star, is a copy of the famous 1991 shot of a naked Demi Moore on the cover of Vanity Fair. On her website, the former “Big Brother” star credited Twitter for being a source of comfort to her since she became pregnant.
The 29-year-old, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Adam Horsley, wrote on her blog, “When I first found out I was pregnant, as well as all the excitement there was also a sense of trepidation, of going into the unknown,” according to a report by MailOnline.
“But I have genuinely valued the community of friends (and I count all my followers as friends) and their support has really helped me through the process so far and no doubt will continue to do so,” she wrote.
The stunning Welsh model also spoke about the negative aspect of the social networking site, saying, “As with all friends you have good ones and bad ones. People will always talk behind your back. And the advent of social networks and especially Twitter has created a new avenue for people to have a gripe, snipe or have a go. No don’t get me wrong; by being on these networks we all open ourselves up for comment or a bit of criticism.”
“How would you feel if every day you were reminded of a mistake or something you did? People move on, I have. It is in the past but trolls don’t move on; they continue to stalk and hassle without thought as they know there is no recrimination,” she added.
Meanwhile, Llanelli-born Imogen said she still can’t believe she is going to be a mother in a matter of months. She said, “It’s so exciting. Adam is really excited too. He’s brilliant with children and I think he will be the best dad ever. He keeps feeling my belly and saying ‘Kick’ – the baby is very active and kicks all day most days.”
Talking about her maternal nature, Imogen said, “I know when he or she does arrive I will feel relieved and emotional. I am, of course, nervous like any other first-time mum would be, but I’m going to be the best mum I can be and more.” She added, “I’m very maternal and always have been, and I can’t wait to see a mini me or Adam. We don’t know what we’re having – it’s going to be the best surprise ever!”
