Apple To Release New iPod Nano Design

More than any other iPod, the venerable iPod nano has tended to be the chrysalid of the family, morphing from one radically different shape to the next with every successive generation.

The first couple generations of the iPod nano tended to be long and thin devices, to be replaced with a squatter square third-gen model, before returning to its familiar rectangle shape for the fourth and fifth generations, only to become a radically different touchscreen Shuffle-sized device in 2010.

Japanese Apple blog is reporting that Apple will release the new iPod nano this autumn so…

Apple’s iPhone 5th BirthDay – Still Sexy After All These Years

Apple’s iPhone, which celebrates its fifth birthday today, transformed an industry. Mobile displays doubled in size, buttons melted into virtual keyboards and we all started using gestures.

iPhone by itself would never have amounted to much without the App Store, which arrived a solid nine months after the introduction of the first iPhone. When Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone 3G (a device that looked at lot like the iPhone, but improved the performance and data speeds).

“The best thing about the new iPhone 3G is, without a doubt, the App Store. This collection of applications, utilities, and games — presented…

Addicted To You – Shakira

It’s hard to believe that Shakira’s last album Sale El Sol was released in 2010, the crazier fact is that she is still promoting the album with the 5th single lifted from it titled ‘Addicted To You’. But it’s good to see that Shakira hasn’t given up on the album or any of its’ singles as today many artists are quick to give up and move past material if it isn’t a BIG HIT.

Director Neill Blomkamp brought seven low-res minutes of Elysium to Comic-Con today—the first footage ever seen of the shrouded-in-secrecy sci-fi thriller.

Blomkamp described the rough cut as a work in progress, saying, “I imagine it will look extremely cool” when it’s finished.

Touching on many of the same themes as District 9—racism, class warfare, immigration politics, etc.—Elysium stars Matt Damon as one of the poor schmucks who lives on Earth while the elite and powerful party it up on the planet of Elysium, where everyone is healthy, wealthy and…corrupt!

When a radiation accident leaves ex-convict Damon with five days…

FBI Investigating ZTE For trade with Iran

The FBI has launched a criminal investigation into Chinese telecoms equipment-maker ZTE over allegations it sold banned US computer gear to Iran. ZTE is the world’s fourth-biggest mobile telecoms manufacturer.

US sanctions prohibit the trade of any non-humanitarian goods with Iran. An investigation by Reuters in March alleged that ZTE had provided products made by the likes of Microsoft and HP.

In documents obtained by the Smoking Gun website, a ZTE lawyer said company officials also discussed shredding material relating to the alleged deals.

Reuters said that ZTE had sold Iran a surveillance system capable of monitoring landline, mobile and…
